  • Command Manual

    SmartLineCommandManual.pdf    file size: 213K

The Command manual contains more than just a list of the commands.  It contains an overview of the features, detailed description of setting up and connecting the timer, a description of the Setup Program (LINESETUP2.EXE) that is supplied with every timer, and a list of all the commands. These commands are supplied only for those who intend to write or interface to their own software and will generally not be necessary for most users.  The "Setup Program" that comes with every finish line timer is a windows based program that allows you to set any parameter in the timer without having to know the commands.  Refer to the Setup Program's screen shot.

  • Installation Manual

The Installation manual provides an easy-to-follow graphical description of the installation of the SmartLine timer sensors into a Pinewood Derby® track. It includes diagrams and descriptions of how to drill the holes and insert the sensors into your track.

We recommend that you have the holes pre-drilled by the track manufacturer if you are buying a new track.  We will supply a standard 3.5" center to center lane timer with mount for BestTrack or Piantedosi tracks.

One of the previous USB to Serial converters that we have sold are MicroInnovations as shown here.   Click on this link for the zip file of drivers for this converter:  MicroInnovations

In the past we have sold another type of USB to Serial converter.  If your converter does not look like the ones above, you may need the following driver. There is no picture available. This may not be the correct driver if you did not purchase the converter from us. You could always try this one or the most current one if you are unsure. I think that there are only a few types in different packaging.
