FlashLine Pinewood Derby® Place Indicator or  
Place Indicator with Timer (Standard size only)

Description

The FlashLine Place Indicator and Place Indicator with timer use bright red leds mounted on top of the bar instead of our large red displays to indicate the placement of the cars.  The FlashLine leds blink at different rates to indicate placement leaving first place lit continuously.
FlashLine Place Indicator with Timer includes the computer connection with all the functionality as described in the timer features.  The Photo Finish trigger is also available with the timer version.

Pinewood Sensor Retrofit

Sensor Retrofit only sold if you have purchased a Complete Space Derby® Timer.

Pinewood from Space Derby® conversion kit contains:
   Plexiglas panel, leds bar, IR leds,  detectors and non-functional leg of timer. 

   You must have previously purchased a complete Space Derby® finish line since
   this kit does not include the timer's computer, reset/start cable, displays, 
   serial cable or AC power adapter.  Supplied for 4 lane units.

Space Sensor Retrofit

Sensor Retrofit only sold if you have purchased a Complete Pinewood Derby® Timer.

Space from Pinewood Derby® sensor conversion kit contains:
   IR leds/detector for a 4 lane track as shown here, 4 tabs for carriers, cap for computer leg, 8 velcro strips for displays and velcro strip and L-bracket with screws to secure computer tube to the track.

     Add one set (4 in set)  of these Space Derby® sensors and use it with the
       displays, computer in side leg of timer, A/C power adapter, serial
       computer connection and reset/start switch from your Pinewood Derby®
       Finish Line Timer to create the Space Derby® Finish Line Timer. 

You must purchase a Start Gate extension cable to add to your existing cable to make 55 feet. 10 and 20 foot extension cables are available for this.  

(Must have previously purchased a complete SmartLine Pinewood Derby® Finish Line Timer of any size above to purchase this conversion kit.)

SmartLine Serial Cable

The SmartLine Finish Line Timer includes a 10 foot serial data output cable for transferring the race times to a computer.  This 25 Foot Serial Cable allows you to put your computer closer to the top of the track.

SmartLine Photo Finish

The Photo Finish USB video capture device must be connected to your camera and the trigger output of the Finish Line Timer.  The Finish Line trigger acts as a switch to activate the video capture.  The picture is then transferred to a computer where it may be displayed using our display software that is included.  See diagrams on the photo finish page.

SmartLine USB to Serial Converter

The SmartLine Finish Line Timer includes a serial data output for transferring the race times to a computer.  This USB to Serial Converter allows you to use a USB connection on your computer to receive the race times instead of a serial COM port connection.

Race Management Software

The SmartLine Finish Line Timer provides the race times to the GrandPrix Race Management software.  This program allows you to easily manage the race and view the results on a computer screen that may be projected onto a wall for the spectators.
